‘Weigh In’ Surprise

Today I stepped on the scale for my Wednesday ‘weigh in’ and I did the frustrated dance of someone who is trying to lose weight and wants the scale to say something else. It seemed that no matter how long I put of having my first sip of water for the day I wasn’t going to get any lighter (yes an old Diet Nazi trick right there!). I eventually gave in and punched my measurements into my Calorie King account that I still use to track my data. Sighing all the while about my meagre 300g loss since last week.  Then this came on the screen…(click to expand)

15kg

I am so keen to hit my mini goal of 70kgs/ 154lbs that I didn’t see the big picture. When I started last August I weighed 85.6kgs this morning I weighed 70.6kgs, so I have lost exactly 15kgs now! (33lbs) I am officially losing weight and not counting calories! :D

I decided that CK can wait two weeks for my success story because I really do what to be 70 or under ASAP in line with my Project 65 goals. But 15kg is massive and I will celebrate :)

Just goes to show if you are always looking too far ahead then you always miss what is happening right now! July2010Aug2011

I agree – hard work is definitely paying off! but wouldn’t actual weight loss be slightly impeded by the fact that your workouts are causing you to build muscle? I’d say how you feel in your clothes is more important than the numbers on a scale :)

  4. Wowza – girl you should be so very proud indeed!!!!

  5. Thanks Lisa and a big congratulations to you about the little BBB :)
